Paul carries out the important role of ensuring the company is consistently compliant with its own Quality Management System, accreditations and legislative compliance relating to food safety, and health and safety.
He also oversees customer stock management through the inventory team, operational project management, customer relations, plant efficiency and working towards the company’s CSER Policy Objectives.
Paul started his career in warehousing but after six years moved into the food manufacturing sector, firstly with raw and cooked poultry products and then into ready meals for the airline industry, working both in the UK and Holland for major airlines.
Before joining Grocontinental in 2003, Paul held a number of Production Management roles working at Director level and linking up closely with Quality Management relating to both product and processes, and with Research & Development to ensure effective equipment and performance.
After 20 years in the cadet forces enjoying the thrill of flying and jumping out of aeroplanes, rock climbing and outdoor pursuits, Paul decided to resign his commission to spent more time spend with his family.
Paul says that being married with three children has brought him into contact with a whole host of new hobbies and activities but he still makes time for hill walking to replace mountaineering and has also returned to playing rugby. He also enjoys golf, badminton, fishing and shooting.
